.AP Tcl_Interp *interp in
Tcl interpreter, mainly for error messages.
.AP OpenFIle *filePtr in
Represents an RPC connection to a remote Tcl/Tk process.
.AP char *command in
Tcl/Tk command to be evaluated in the remote Tcl/Tk interpreter.
.AP int events in
Passed to \fBTk_DoOneEvent\fR while waiting for RPC return value.
.AP int timeout in
Integer milliseconds.

.SH DESCRIPTION

The above routines give C access to the Tcl-DP remote procedure
call commands (\fBRPC\fR and \fBRDO\fR).  

If the \fIevents\fR argument is less than 0, then no events are
handled while waiting for an RPC return value on the given RPC
connection.  If the \fIevents\fR argument is not less than 0,
then the \fIevents\fR argument is the same type of argument as
passed to \fBTk_DoOneEvent\fR and allows one to flag for the
event types which will be handled while waiting for an RPC return
value.  This \fIevents\fR argument, if not less than 0, is
automatically or'ed with TK_FILE_EVENTS flag so that file events
are always handled.

If the \fItimeout\fR argument is zero or less than zero, timeout
will not be checked.
